Emily Neville recently joined the Smashing Boxes team as engagement manager with a heavy focus on new business and growth. She is bringing the entrepreneurial spirit with her, as she started textile upcycle company Reborn during her time as a student at NC State University.
At NC State, Emily was a recipient of the Park Scholarship, a four-year, fully funded merit-based scholarship awarded to 40 new scholars each year. During her sophomore year, she started Reborn, which works with brands and organizations to transform their deadstock into new products and apparel. She was recently named as one of Raleigh Magazine’s 2021 20 in their 20s.
Much of what Emily has learned as a CEO – including how to start a company, manage a team and create growth – ties into the work she’s doing at SB.
“I’m always looking for opportunities to grow and I’m fascinated by tech,” she said. “I’m looking forward to working on this great team that Nick’s put together and just learning more about tech and getting my hands into it. It’s a lot of fun and it feels like very important work that we’re doing.”
