Conference Keynote Speaker on a Mission to Improve Health with Technology

The theme of this year’s 5th Annual mHealth@Duke Conference is “The Lifecycle of Digital Health Science.” The speakers will present on select topics that are all integral to the successful development of digital health solutions. We thought it would be useful for attendees to hear from a digital health company getting it done in our own backyard, achieving significant traction navigating the digital health life cycle. There is no one who fits the bill better than the CEO of Validic, Drew Schiller. We are privileged to have him keynote our conference on April 12!Drew co-founded Validic, located in downtown Durham, in 2010. It has ascended from an aspirational idea to the industry leader in supplying actionable patient data from a variety devices and apps into the healthcare system. Validic has won such awards as the 2016 North America Frost & Sullivan Award for Visionary Innovation Leadership and the title of “Fastest Growing Digital Health Company” in 2016 by Rock Health. Drew and his company have faced challenges in navigating the healthcare system and the consumer market but he has remained focused on making an impact, now serving a client population reach of 223 million in 52 countries. Validic’s mission statement says it best: “Our mission is to improve the quality of human life by building technology that makes personal data actionable.” That’s a mission we can all support.Watch Drew’s talk from the 2014 mHealth Summit, where he explains how Validic works to connect healthcare organizations with the data patients collect with their own devices:
