We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve teamed up with the New Orleans Pelicans for a community event we’re calling “Smashing Boxes Tech All-Stars”. Kids from New Orleans area schools are invited to to tell us what their dream app would be! We’ll pick the 36 most creative, interesting, and useful submissions to become Tech All-Stars. Our All-Stars will receive four tickets to a game where they’ll be recognized on court during half time. They also get pre-game shootaround access and a limited edition T-shirt. After the competition, our All-Stars will get to attend a special one-day code school hosted by Smashing Boxes.Since opening our New Orleans office earlier this year, we’ve been welcomed into the New Orleans community with open arms, and this is one of our first chances to show our thanks.Are you the teacher or parent of a tech-minded 4th-7th grader in the New Orleans area? Submit your kid’s idea before April 11 for their chance to become a Smashing Boxes Tech All-Star. Six winners will be awarded at each of the following games:
- March 22th vs. Miami Heat
- March 26th vs. Toronto Raptors
- March 28th vs. New York Knicks
- March 31st vs. Denver Nuggets
- April 9th vs. Phoenix Suns
- April 11th vs. Chicago Bulls
The earlier you submit your idea, the more opportunities you’ll have to win. We can’t wait to see the apps the kids of New Orleans can imagine!
