Sales Administrator - Durham


In the SB Growth Division, we draw on deep empathy for client needs and their hopes for success to help define design opportunities that are actionable and exciting. The Sales Administrator role interacts and communicates with all levels of clients, community partners, employees and third-party vendors. This role is critical when it comes to keeping the CEO and Growth team moving forward in a coordinated way. You play an integral part on the team through effective top of the funnel lead generation, cold outreach and lead qualification. The team relies on this individual’s persuasive abilities and creative methods of finding potential clients. Most importantly, the Sales Administrator is responsible for organizing and managing Smashing Boxes’ busy and energetic CEO. You must be sensitive to CEO’s needs as well as the needs of the Growth Division and the Company.

This position must be local and onsite - please indicate if you are relocating to the area if you are NOT based in the Raleigh-Durham Triangle area.

Requirements

Required "hard" skills:

  • 2+ years of administrative support of executive or senior level leadership and/or business development experience
  • Familiarity with Google Suite and a CRM are preferred and Adobe CC (specifically InDesign) experience is a plus
  • Basic Technical knowledge is a plus – you understand the ins and outs of the digital world - specifically software and applications - and you can speak intelligently about technology even if you can’t code

Required "soft" skills:

  • Multi-tasking – you’d actually prefer to be involved in multiple things at once and can easily keep track of many moving details with an ability to prioritize own workload and manage a number of projects at the same time
  • Integrity and a direct attitude – you have a proven ability to manage confidential conversations with care and you don’t shy away from difficult conversations, are direct, forthcoming, and honest while maintaining finesse
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Excitement and willingness to learn - you have a passion for developing a career in service of unrelenting curiosity, continuous growth and never settling for the status quo.
